His great organisational skill had brought glory to Assam in Table Tennis with many spendid performances during 70s and saw many players from the state reaching great heights in the national level. Apart from sports, his commitments towards society for its welfare, was laudable. The article is very inspiring as it depicts a person's life who had built his own business empire single handed right from scratch. Today on his birthday, I salute Late Dr Sharma and pay great respect to the departed soul Jayanta Barman Guwahati Late Dr Phani Sharma was certainly one of the best sports organiser that our state has produced.
